Do you have any photos of David Lawson? He was going out with a friend of mine’s mother in the 1950s. I would like to contact him to give him an update on all his friends here in South Africa who would like to communicate with him again
I can be contacted on 011 833 7200 in South Africa or emailed on the above address.
Your help would be mostly appreciated in this regard.
    Many thanks
    Leon

I’m sitrting in the transit lounge at Narita and Martin Blakeway came to mind. I knew him in 1979 when I lived in Tokyo. I was a member of his South Seas Society. I’m planning a trip to that part of the world later this year. Do you know how I can reach him? Mike

    John

I really should take you to task for causing me to lose an hour and a half reading thru’ ‘The Old Blue Truck’, don’t you know how busy I am?! I’ve really enjoyed reading it, my morning tea has gone cold as I’ve immersed myself in the escapades, and I still haven’t read it all. Well done for managing to be so organised and thank you for preserving those wonderful stories for us all to enjoy.

It truly was a time when travel broadened oneself, discovering new places, handling unpredictability and unrest. A far more interesting and authentic time, no phones, emails, internet cafes that make life so much easier. Spoon fed travel today is pretty much unavoidable and I think those of us fortunate to have experienced the real deal are richer for it, oh no think I’m starting to show my age!

Trish – thanks for that – I guess you’ve heard it all so many times before? How I would love to go back and reshoot the pictures again!

See you in a couple of weeks?
      I’m coming home to Kent!

Hi , I am wondering if anyone knew a Robert Harding from Australia who traveled to England from Brisbane in 1960? He is listed as visiting the overseas visitor’s club. Many thanks. Jane Thompson.
