Just to let you know that I’m still alive – and to explain my ‘Summer Silence!’
The first section of the Invitation translated (very loosely!) reads…
Florence Bouvry has created a yurt, or “temple” dedicated to listening to memories of the Languedoc (a region in the South of France). Built to look a little like a bandstand, but functioning as a meeting place, for exchanges of spirit and of life. Reflecting the traditions of the Tibetans, flags with colors of the four elements (water, air, earth, and fire) are printed with words and images – which remind one of Languedoc memories. The breath of air brings life to them. Memories thus re-animated flutter and disperse with the wind.
It’s a fascinating and lovely part of France.
